Since it was established, the RDSA has continually strived towards achieving new heights. Some of the programmes that have been designed and delivered have received much acclaim and endorsement. Our Women's Personal Safety course has been successfully taught to over 600 women who all come from some form of physical or mental abuse. This programme has been endorsed by many groups, including Women's Aid.
Another programme, which has received great support and praise is our Children in the Community programme which assists kids who have suffered some form of abuse and helps them re-discover their confidence using martial arts training.
One of our greatest success stories to date, has got to be our Life Skills for Children programme ehich tackles bullying, stranger alert etc. This programme has been installed into 19 local schools and it is our intention to place it into the national curriculum for all schools by the end of 2005.
These schools include:
Langdale Middle School
Olney Middle School
Green Park School
Moorlands Middle School
Radcliffe School
Redway School (a specialialised school for children with disabilities)
White Spires School (a specialised school for children with severe learning difficulties)
